Unauthorized seller monitoring on Amazon: who really sells your product, and at what price

The Featured Offer seller on every ASIN, the marketplace resellers behind the price, and the retailers that carry you, read on schedule. Sellers below MAP surface automatically, with the listing as evidence.

In plain terms

What unauthorized seller monitoring on Amazon means

Unauthorized seller monitoring software identifies third-party sellers offering your products without authorization, then adds the price, stock and Buy Box status behind each offer. On Amazon the sellers worth finding are rarely counterfeiters. They are grey-market resellers and product diverted from your own distribution, listing genuine goods below MAP and winning the Featured Offer from your authorized retailers.

Lightfeed is the monitoring half of brand protection: who held the Featured Offer on each ASIN, whether they are on your authorized list, at what price, with the listing as evidence. Takedowns, test buys and notices stay with your team, Brand Registry and counsel.

The problem

Amazon does not enforce your MAP, and your panel does not see the seller

Brand Registry is not price protection

It handles counterfeits, hijacked listings and content. A reseller who bought through a distributor and lists below MAP is not infringing anything Amazon will act on. They win the Featured Offer, and your authorized retailers lose the sale and call you.

The panel reports the sale, never the seller

Circana and NielsenIQ tell you the category moved units on Amazon. They cannot tell you that a storefront created last month sold them 18% below MAP, or that it was the Featured Offer for nine days.

Resellers move faster than a weekly check

Storefront names change, offers appear for a weekend, repricers push every seller down behind the one who broke first. Checking ASINs by hand catches the ones that stay.

How it works

From your ASIN list to a seller-level compliance view

1

Send ASINs or GTINs, MAP and your authorized sellers

A product list with identifiers and MAP, plus the sellers and retailers that are allowed to carry you. CSV or API.

2

We read each ASIN on schedule

Featured Offer price and seller, Amazon or marketplace seller, coupon, stock, on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com. Daily is typical; hourly during launches and promotions.

3

We read the retailers that carry you too

Walmart, Target, Best Buy, mass, pharmacy and beauty banners, store by store where they publish it, so the Amazon price sits next to the shelf price your retail partners are defending.

4

Violations with the evidence attached

Seller, price, gap to MAP, first seen, duration, the listing as proof. A marketplace-sellers-only view, and an export your brand protection team or distributor can act on.

Sellers by ASINWho held the Featured Offer on each run, Amazon or marketplace, authorized or not, at what price, and how long they held it.
MAP complianceEvery read below MAP by seller and retailer, with the tolerance you set, the gap, first seen and duration, and the listing as evidence. Marketplace-sellers-only filter for the distributor conversation.
Retail shelf next to AmazonPrice, promotion and stock at the retailers that carry you, store by store where published, so you can show a retail partner exactly what they were competing against and when.
What changedNew seller, seller lost the Featured Offer, price down, coupon added, out of stock, since the last run.
Competitor brandsThe same reads for the competitor ASINs and SKUs you name, so a MAP break on your line is seen against what the category did that week.

FAQ

Questions brand protection teams ask

How does Lightfeed know a seller is unauthorized?
You give us your authorized seller list. Every other seller found on your ASINs is flagged, and any seller below MAP is a violation with the listing as evidence. New storefront names show up the first run they appear.
Does Lightfeed read every offer on an ASIN or only the Featured Offer?
Every run reads the Featured Offer (the Buy Box): its seller, whether that seller is Amazon or a marketplace seller, the price, any coupon and stock. Ask us about reading the full offer list on the ASINs where you need it.
What if the seller below MAP is Amazon itself?
Lightfeed flags Amazon as the seller like any other. Amazon Retail prices to win the Featured Offer and does not follow MAP; a contractual floor is rare and negotiated with your vendor manager. The report gives you the dates, prices and gaps to take into that conversation.
Does Brand Registry or Transparency already do this?
No. Brand Registry handles trademark, counterfeit and listing-content issues; Transparency blocks units without a valid code. Neither reports who is selling at what price or whether it is below MAP. Lightfeed is the monitoring layer next to them.
Do you cover Amazon.ca and Amazon.com?
Yes, both, alongside Walmart, Target, Best Buy, and the Canadian and US mass, pharmacy and beauty retailers that carry your line, with store-level prices wherever the retailer publishes them. See brands at retail for the retail side.
Does Lightfeed send cease-and-desist notices or test buys?
No. Lightfeed finds and documents the sellers and the violations, with export sheets your brand protection team or counsel can act on. Notices, test buys and supply decisions stay with you.
